Store at room temperature between 59-77 degrees F (15-25 degrees C) away from moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Begin using Zovirax 30G (acyclovir) 5% as soon as symptoms of a herpes infection appear. For external use only. Clean and dry the affected areas before applying the medication. Apply to all sores as prescribed, usually every 3 hours, 6 times a day for 7 days, or as directed by your doctor. Apply enough ointment to adequately cover all sores. Do not use more often or for longer than prescribed.
Use a finger cot or rubber gloves when applying to avoid spreading the infection. Avoid applying in the eyes.
Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens after 7 days of therapy.

A very serious allergic reaction to Zovirax 30G (acyclovir) 5% is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.

If you miss a dose of Zovirax 30G (acyclovir) 5%, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
