The active ingredient in EpiPen Jr is epinephrine. Epinephrine is an alpha and beta-adrenergic receptor agonist that is effective in the treatment of anaphylaxis. • Do not inject the EpiPen Jr into the buttocks or veins (intravenously). It is only meant for intramuscular use in the middle of the outer thigh.
• Caregivers and patients should be trained on proper use before an emergency occurs.
• If accidental injection occurs, seek medical help immediately.
