Erectile Dysfunction

Double Powered Pill

As-needed tablet · Sildenafil + tadalafil · Prescription required

One simple tablet, when you need it. The Double Powered Pill combines two ED medications, sildenafil and tadalafil, in a single tablet. Both improve blood flow to the penis to help you get and keep an erection when you're sexually aroused. Sildenafil starts working sooner, while tadalafil stays in your body for longer.

Your treatment

6 tablets per 4 weeks

$96$16 per tablet

One tablet before sexual activity, as needed. Available as sildenafil 55 mg + tadalafil 11 mg, or sildenafil 110 mg + tadalafil 22 mg. Your provider decides which strength is right for you.

What happens when you click

You'll begin the intake process — a 10-minute questionnaire about your health history, medications, and goals. A licensed U.S. provider reviews your questionnaire and prescribes only if medically appropriate. No charge until you're approved. Your provider may recommend a different treatment based on your health history.

What is the Double Powered Pill used for?

Providers prescribe it to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), which means trouble getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex. Both of its ingredients belong to a group of medications called PDE5 inhibitors, the gold standard of ED treatment.

It doesn't cause an erection on its own, and it doesn't increase sex drive. You must be sexually aroused for it to work.

Why two ingredients?

Sildenafil and tadalafil work in the same way but on different timelines. Sildenafil tends to start working sooner and wear off within hours. Tadalafil takes a little longer to start and lasts longer. Combining them in one dose is meant to give you both.

Two ingredients don't mean twice the strength, and it isn't the right choice for everyone. Your provider will decide whether a combination or a single medication suits you better.

Tablet or liquid vial — what's the difference?

The Double Powered Pill and Double Powered Liposomal contain the same two ingredients, but they come in different forms and at different strengths. The pill is a tablet, and the liposomal version is a liquid in a single-use vial.

One isn't simply a better version of the other. Your provider will decide which form and strength suit you.

How do I take it?

Take one tablet before sexual activity, as directed on your prescription label. Don't take more than one tablet in 24 hours unless your provider tells you to. Always follow the instructions and guidance from your provider.

What's included

  • Online consultation and provider review, with no video or phone call needed
  • 6 or 12 tablets per 4 weeks, depending on your plan
  • An initial prescription of up to a 3-month supply, with up to 3 refills, depending on your provider's assessment
  • Access to a clinician at any point for questions

Who qualifies — and who doesn't

Generally, men aged 18 to 85 who have trouble with erections and have had a physical exam with a healthcare provider in the past 3 years may be eligible. A prescription isn't guaranteed. Your provider makes the final decision based on your health history.

You aren't eligible for treatment through this program if any of these apply to you:

  • You use any medication containing nitrates (often prescribed for chest pain or heart conditions)
  • You've had a heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months
  • You have severe or unstable low blood pressure
  • You have severe liver or kidney disease
  • You have certain severe or uncontrolled medical conditions, or a doctor has advised you not to have sex

Side effects and safety

Common side effects are usually mild and may include headache, stuffy nose, facial flushing, and upset stomach.

Get medical help right away if you have a severe allergic reaction, sudden loss of vision or hearing, or an erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism).

Tell your provider about every medication and supplement you take, including other ED treatments and blood pressure medications. Some can interact with sildenafil and tadalafil.

Prescription required. A licensed healthcare provider will review your medical questionnaire and prescribe treatment only if medically appropriate. Individual results vary. Why people choose the Double Powered Pill

Why people choose an as-needed combination for erectile dysfunction.

  • Only when you need it

No daily routine. Take one tablet before sexual activity, as directed by your provider.

  • Private from start to finish

Your consultation happens entirely online. A licensed provider reviews it without a video or phone call.

  • Physical and mental support

Ingredients that support blood flow are paired with one that supports the brain's arousal response.

Individual results vary. Your provider will talk you through what to realistically expect.

Frequently asked questions

The online process, eligibility, your prescription, and what to expect.

Is this the same as Viagra or Cialis?

It contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, and tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, combined in one compounded tablet. It isn't either branded medication, and compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

As-needed or daily — what's the difference?

As-needed treatment is taken before sex. Daily treatment, like the Daily Boost Pill, is a lower dose taken every day so you don't have to plan around timing. One isn't simply stronger than the other. Your provider will recommend the approach that suits you.

Can I take it with another ED medication?

Not unless your provider tells you to. The Daily Boost Pill and Double Powered Liposomal also contain tadalafil, and combining ED medications can cause serious side effects. Tell your provider about any ED treatment you use.

Which plan should I choose?

Both plans include the same tablets. The 12-tablet plan costs less per tablet ($12 vs. $16) and suits people who expect to use it more often. You can talk to your provider about changing your quantity later.

How soon will it work?

It varies from person to person. Your provider will tell you how long before sexual activity to take it, and what to expect.

Can I drink alcohol while taking it?

Drinking a lot of alcohol with ED medication can lower your blood pressure and make you dizzy, and alcohol can also make erections harder to get. Talk to your provider about what's safe for you.

Do I need a video visit?

No. This program uses asynchronous telemedicine. You complete an online questionnaire, and a licensed provider reviews your information without a real-time video or phone call.

Who reviews my information?

A licensed healthcare provider with clinical expertise. The provider makes the final decision about your eligibility and treatment plan.

Do I need an in-person exam?

You need to have had a physical exam with a healthcare provider in the past 3 years. You don't need a new exam to start.

Can the dose be changed?

Yes. Your provider may adjust your dose and quantity based on your medical profile, how you respond to treatment, and safety considerations.

How much medication can I get?

Your initial prescription may cover up to a 3-month supply, with the option of up to 3 refills, depending on your provider's assessment.

How do I keep getting treatment?

After your initial supply and refills are used up, you'll complete a follow-up questionnaire. A provider reviews your answers to decide whether ongoing treatment is right for you.

Can I talk to a clinician?

Yes. You can contact a clinician at any point in the process to ask questions or get guidance.

How discreet is this program?

Your consultation is entirely online and asynchronous, so there's no appointment, waiting room, or call to schedule.

Will my information be private?

Yes. The service follows HIPAA-compliant security and privacy standards to keep your personal information safe and confidential.

What if I don't qualify?

If the provider decides treatment isn't safe or appropriate based on your medical information, you'll be notified. Your provider may suggest speaking with your own doctor about other options.

Who's behind this

Pharmacist-owned. Partner-delivered.

Universal Drugstore is pharmacist owned, with more than 25 years in prescription care. For telehealth, we work with trusted partners: independent licensed U.S. providers review your visit and decide on treatment, and licensed U.S. partner pharmacies fill and ship your prescription.

What this isn't

Online care doesn't fit every situation. Here is where it stops.

  • Not a replacement for your primary care provider. ED can sometimes be linked to heart, blood sugar, or hormone conditions, so keep up with regular checkups
  • Not something that creates arousal or increases sex drive on its own
  • Not a generic or equivalent of any brand-name product
  • Not emergency care — if something's wrong, call 911 or go to an emergency room
  • Not available in every state, and not appropriate for everyone
  • Not a guarantee of a prescription — your provider decides, and may say no
  • 25+Years serving patients globally
  • 3M+Prescriptions filled
