Swallow the tablets whole. Do not crush or chew the tablets. Doing so can release all of the drug at once, increasing the risk of side effects. For the best effect, take this antibiotic at evenly spaced times. To help you remember, take Ceclor CD at the same time(s) every day. Continue to take Ceclor CD until the full-prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping Ceclor CD too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection. Antacids may decrease the absorption of Ceclor CD. If you use antacids, take them at least 1 hour apart from Ceclor CD. Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse.
Ceclor CD Precautions
Before taking cefaclor, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to penicillins or other cephalosporins; or if you have any other allergies. Ceclor CD may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
